Whether its true or not that some people are feeling as if they should leave the production team because of such high negative reactions to EQG, don’t you think that it would still be a nice gesture to let them know that you enjoy the show they’re making despite not being in it’s target demographic?

And you have to consider how shallowly this product is being treated; how many of the fans of FiM are writing off prototype works and the like without giving it the benefit of the doubt. As an artist, being told something you put countless hours in to, something you spent a great deal of time, energy and emotion on, is utter shit REALLY hurts. I’m no saint when it comes to that. I’ve done that blindly myself. At the same time though, why would you bash something without AT LEAST giving it a try, ya know? Yes. This will probably not be the dynamic you are used to. Yes. There is a more than likely chance that this will not live up to your expectations, nor will it ultimately be of as much value as FiM is to many, but why not give it a chance, ya know?

I’m not saying invest your entire being in to it the way many people have for FiM, but rather that you should give it a watch before writing it off as utter trash. I haven’t the highest interest in the show either, but I’m still gonna give it a try at the very least to see how it plays out. For all we know it could be good, ya know? Besides, these are the same people who create FiM. These are the same writers and the same VAs who are going to be working on this project. Why NOT give it a go? I mean shit. Did you think FiM was going to be a masterpiece when you started watching it? I sure as fuck didn’t. 

Give it the benefit of the doubt. See where it goes, let it at least try to stand before unleashing a torrent of judgement upon it, and if at the end of the day you still don’t like it, then don’t watch it, ya know? No sense in unleashing a torrential downpour of hatred on to something that, realistically speaking, won’t change very much since the movie and the following series is a spinoff. Chill me homies. Give it a go and just watch how the pond settles instead of making a splash while it’s still a puddle.
